My View for 7 Hours

Here, Philadelphia's 30th St. Station is where I spent seven hours Saturday sitting on train while we waited for wires and trees to be removed from the tracks in Maryland. I expect I had the longest journey to the RA of anyone in continental US who did not drive.

On the way to RA 2012?

Set out filled with excitement from Metropark 11:39 am. Apparently I was on the first train out after a bad storm last night knocked wires and trees onto the tracks between Philadelphia and Washington. We have been stopped at Philadelphia's 30th St. Station for four hours so far but told they are moving trains now and we will be third. Truly a hurry up and wait event!
Faked out. Instead we had to change trains. Finally at 7:30 pm, yes after 7 hours in the station we finally headed south to Washington after a bit of drama where we pulled out backward for a ways then returned to the station for a few minutes before leaving.
